Surround yourself with positive people
Negative people and conversations will make you focus to the wrong things and may take your focus off of your goals. Seek out positive people and don’t engage in negative conversations. If you find yourself caught in the middle of a conversation that is going in the wrong direction, change the subject to something productive.
Use positive affirmations
Remember this: words have power. Regardless of what is going on around you, speak out loud what you want to happen. Write out an affirmation that you can say daily and put it up somewhere that you are sure to see it every day as one of the ways to stay motivated at work.
Stop worrying about things you can’t control
Kindly remind yourself that you can’t control everything. Refuse to worry about circumstances beyond your control. Things may not always work out perfectly and you need to learn to get over them. The sooner, the better. Only you can control your own actions and reactions.
Take breaks
Sometimes we all just need a break. Working hard is great, but it could create stress if you force yourself too much. You can try to go on a trip and pamper yourself during weekends. But if you really need a break while at work, just getting away from your desk for a few minutes every couple of hours could make all the difference.
Just do it
Here’s an advice: stop making excuses or waiting for yourself to feel motivated and just do what you need to do. Dive into your work and put your focus on it. Sometimes actually pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone is what you need.
Give rewards to yourself
Rewards play a huge part in staying motivated. Reward yourself every time you reach a goal. It could be anything from going on a trip on weekend or treating yourself to a movie night. Think about something you have recently accomplished and plan a way to celebrate it. It can be as simple as going out for ice cream. Reward yourself — you are worth it!
